April Schiel is a registered nurse, paramedic, and animal control officer whose careers have always centered on one thing: showing up for people when it matters most. As the founder of Empowering Transit, LLC, she's channeling that same calling into accessible, wheelchair-friendly recreational transportation — because everyone deserves the freedom to get out and experience life.

April brings a frontline caregiver's perspective to a gap that too many communities have quietly accepted. She's not just building a business; she's expanding worlds, one ride at a time.

Empowering Transit, LLC focuses on NON MEDICAL wheel chair transportation.  We offer a highly personalized service for wheelchair bound individuals, their family, friends, and even pets.

Servicing Lehigh county, Pennsylvania, Empowering Transit is set to open in spring of 2026. We need YOUR support to fund a specialized wheelchair van, insurance/licensing fees, and start up costs.
